Acer glabrum

Rocky Mountain Maple

Acer glabrum is a small maple shrub or tree native to the western United States. Commonly called the Rocky Mountain Maple, it averages around 15 feet high at age twenty, but can reach up to 30 feet at maturity. This maple's leaves are green and generally three-lobed. Its inconspicuous yellow-green flowers appear in the late spring. Its leaves change color in the fall.
