Agapanthus 'Lilliput'

Blue African lily, Dwarf Lily-of-the-Nile

Blue African Lily (Agapanthus 'Lilliput') is a flowering dwarf perennial. The dramatic clusters of blue, trumpet shaped flowers appear in summer, held aloft on sturdy upright stalks above the glossy, strap-like leaves. Also known as Dwarf Lily-of-the-Nile, this compact plant reaches no more than 16 inches tall with a spread of less than 2 feet. Blue African Lily grows best in full sun and very moist, loamy soil, thriving along pools and ponds. Removing the spent flowerheads will encourage repeat blooming, and full sun is necessary for abundant blooming.
