Abutilon x Hybridum 'Luteus'

Yellow Flowering Maple

Yellow Flowering Maple (Abutilon x Hybridum 'Luteus') is often grown as an attractant to hummingbirds. This evergreen shrub grows with a mounded habit, blooming from spring through summer with dramatic, bright yellow flowers that droop from slender stems. Yellow Flowering Maple grows quickly, reaching as tall as 12 feet around, and requires regular watering. It grows best in full to partial sun, and can thrive either outside in containers or indoors as a houseplant. Annual pruning will help encourage a tidy shape.
