Agapanthus x 'Storm Cloud'

Storm Cloud Lily Of The Nile

Storm Cloud Lily of the Nile (Agapanthus x 'Storm Cloud') is a dramatic flowering plant. The dense foliage takes on a slight red tinge in winter, and it blooms in summer with clusters of large, deep blue-purple flowers atop tall, almost black stems. Lily of the Nile will grow as large as 4 feet tall, preferring sun to partial shade and well-drained, leafy soil. Crowded plants can be thinned by lifting and dividing clumps once flowering is compete. Hybridized in 1943, it is drought tolerant and makes a nice cut flower. Some parts are poisonous if ingested.
