Abeliophyllum Distichum 'Roseum'

Pink Forsythia

Pink Forsythia (Abeliophyllum Distichum 'Roseum') is a deciduous flowering shrub native to central Korea. The clusters of soft-pink , four-petaled flowers bloom in spring, appearing before the leaves and blooming earlier than many other flowering shrubs. It grows quickly with an open habit, producing arching branches that reach up to 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide. Thriving in full to partial sun, Pink Forsythia requires regular watering in extreme heat. Propagation is by cutting or simple layering, and occasional heavy pruning after blooming will encourage flowering.
