Red Rhapsody Amur Maple

Red Rhapsody Amur Maple (Acer Ginnala 'Mondy') is a deciduous tree. Native to China, Korea, and Japan, this cold resistant tree stays small, and grows quickly to be only about 15 to 20 feet around. Acer Ginnala grows best in full to partial sun, and requires regular watering, particularly during extreme heat. Red Rhapsody is known for its brilliant red fall color, and produces clusters of fragrant, tiny pale yellow flowers in the spring. This parent species of this plant were first introduced by the Jesuits, who sent the seeds west from China.
