Acacia pruinosa

Frost Acacia, Frosty Wattle

Frosty Wattle (Acacia pruinosa) is a flowering shrub or small tree native to Australia. The bark is smooth, with a dark-red or purplish color, and the leaves a legume fruits are covered in a white dusting, from which it takes its name. It blooms with small, round clusters of yellow flowers, and the deeply divided leaves are greyish-green on the tips when young. A. pruinosa will grow up to 24 feet tall with a 15-foot spread, thriving in full sun, and can tolerate long periods of dryness as well as consistently moist soil.
